Blue - Common
Yellow - Uncommon
Purple - Rare



Basic Pondpony Anatomy




 

Pondponies are equines that have a body of water on there back. They have the power to make bubbles and control waters.
Their manes and tails are always made out of a form of water.
While Pondponies can have a wide range of coat colors and body types, every Pondpony has the above four features in common.


Their eyes are always closed, b
ut there are some pondponies with open eyes, they are known to be more powerful. 



Common Traits



Water color

Blue and green waters colors count as common. Anything outside blue and green is considered rare.

Examples of common water colors:

Vibrant colors such as these are more common on Reef Type Pondponies.
Any gradients with common colors will still count as common.
Gradients must follow a linear pattern in the main and tail.
White gradients are also common for fall/wave tails and similar styled manes.


Tail Shapes and Manes

Manes can be any style, there is no rarity restriction to them!
The only common type tails are flow tails, these tails can also be styled in any fashion!

Power Stones

Common power stones will have natural, dull, or earthy tones to them. Anything vibrant is considered rare.

Common pond stones will have natural, dull, or earthy tones to them. Anything vibrant is considered rare.

Marked Power and Pond stones

Marked power and pond stones are any stones with markings on them. These markings can be anything from swirls to more specific patterns.
Examples of marked power and pond stones:

However, for marked stones to stay common the color of the designs must follow the same color guides as common power and pond stones


Extras

Examples of other traits that count as common:
natural flowers making up partial portions of the power or pond stones
moss or other flora growing on the stones
small plant life growing in the water
marine life in the tail or mane
companions
water gradients that include common water colors
water fading to white on a fall tail
clothes / accessories that don't mimic other trait rarities

Uncommon Traits




Unicorn Horns

Examples of unicorn horns

Any type of unicorn horn is considered uncommon. Almost all types can have a horn made out of stone, wood, water, or a gem.
Only Crystal type Pondponies can have crystal horns and only Frozen type Pondponies can have frozen horns.

Tail Shapes
These are examples of some uncommon type tails! These include:
- Waterfall tails, these look like a waterfall! This is called a wave tail on a tide pool + reef type, it can also be frozen on a frozen type.
- Tails made of steam (whole or part) are for hot spring and tea types only.
- Traditional unicorn tails, water or steam is attached on the end.
-  Special shaped tails, these are tails that are shaped like marine life, flowers, etc. They can be shaped like just about anything!


Special Shaped Power Stones
These are examples of uncommon special shaped stones
As a rule of thumb, if the stone shape does not resemble a common stone shape, it's special snapped
These shapes are rare for pond stones
 

Semi-Precious Power Stones
Semi-precious power stones always have simple shading (1 color) and a highlight spot
Shading and highlight can be any value of the base color but hue can only vary slightly
Semi-precious power stones can be any color, though multiple colors are rare, special shaped semi-precious stones are also rare

Flora in the Pond
Sometimes a Pondponies pond will be rich in nutrients, enough to let small plant life thrive
This can include small trees, bamboo

Rare Traits




Water Color
Any color that is not considered blue and green is rare
Each rare color in the hair is 1 rare trait

Iridescence is the phenomenon of certain surfaces that appear to gradually change color as the angle of view or the angle of illumination changes
Iridescence can be either follow the curvature of the water or scattered throughout, it does not have to follow a linear pattern
Iridescence can be any color

Tails
Multiple tails on a Pondpony are rare
Each extra tail is 1 rare trait, 9 tails are the max limit for extra tails


Power Stones
Vibrant colors (i.e. colors that don't fall under common) are considered rare for stones
Colored markings on the stones also counts as a rare trait

Multi-colored stones, both normal and semi-precious, are considered rare
Each extra color is 1 rare trait

Precious Stones

Precious stones are rare occurrences
They are always brilliantly colored and look as if magic will burst out of it at any moment
They can be any shape, size, and color but can only be a Power Stone, only one precious stone per pond

Water Gems
Water gems are granted to very special ponds, they are made of water with mist surrounding them, the mist can be any color
Water gems are always reflects the same water pattern as the pond
They can be any shape and size and can be both pond and power stones

Sometimes a Pondponies pond will be rich in nutrients, enough to let large plant life thrive
This can include trees and other large plants
